She was always going to write a book with clifi scifi at the heart of it. She’s Shannon Lee collab since. Written for TOR another novella series. Given what’s she’s said in the past. It’s high time. This was always coming since EXO myself included didn’t read it but clearly has passion for it.

I think fans Amina Al Sirafi or Dalinar pov would really enjoy this. Isako is very worn down protagonist. She is decisive but tired. As a fixer she has perfected everything that can be done. Within this last chapter one of her apprentices and now we have met her mentor. She’s looking out for both of them. Their society is very cut throat about rules. 1/

So far I (ugh is this the umpheenth time I’ve used this probably sry) It’s been slow simmer. “Retirement” in this world is perilous. It really is bringing a convo about use and purpose. Older protagonists —- enthused as hell. I love seasoned pragmatic characters.

It’s so good to be back in Fonda world. It’s been a while for me since I read Jade War. Yes not read Legacy yet.
I’m fresh at chapter 4. This is so promising. This reminds me of Cowboy Bebop in my head x Amina Al Sirafi. The scifi elements —which I know is Fonda core outside of Greenbone ( I started reading Exo yrs ago).
