My biggest ick in hockey romances are references to real life NHL players or characters sharing (less common) last names with real players (sometimes even the team names being the same is too much for me)

Mhmmm. if I were also very knowledgeable about sports teams and their names would be mentioned in books, I would also have an ick 🙂↕️🤚 SO PREACHHH

Like misrepresenting the sports/leagues isn’t enough really don’t recommend learning about sports if you read sports romances
Totally agree, the misrepresentation is so bad, like, why are you writing about it if you don't even know much about it? 😭 But considering it's your biggest ick, you have a lot of books about hockey on your bookshelf🫵 (very brave 🤧)
The hyperfixation is too strong, I simply can’t resist (I’ve never given a hockey book 5 stars) 🙂↕️
