Slow start for me, so much so that I wasn't convinced I was going to enjoy this book. About 100 pages in, the story took hold and I had a hard time putting the book down. I really enjoyed this dark fantasy take on Red Riding Hood with maybe a little Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, and Snow White thrown in for good measure. I must read the 2nd book to conclude the story!
