Thoroughly enjoying this popcorn read, but I’m too tired to read much each evening.

Gotta love sleep paralysis (which probably isn't sleep paralysis).

There's a part where Selena, the main character who is from the city, is uncomfortable with the "alien silence" of the desert village. So much so that she has to dig out a radio for noise. Reminded me of when I moved to my current home, which I found disconcertingly [i]still[/i] after living for so long in a dump of a house that shook every time a vehicle went by.

Possibly neurodivergent. Maybe just cPTSD.

The atmosphere of languid desert heat is welcome on such a frigid day.
