so far yossiarn has been angering the higher officer levels to make a point that they are croupt and egotistic. Several of the pilots have the number of needed missons to go home but several of the officers wont let them go home. Yossiarn tells others that they wont let them leave untill the war is over.

So far the main charier in the book is a lead bomber for an air force squad and has had problems with other main bombers on practices runs on targets and has not participate in the bomb drops and was demoted when he was in the hospital and has been dealing with PTSD

catch 22 takes places in world war 2 when a man is lying about being injured but then after a a few mouths leaves the hospital to see what the world has become.
