We’ve officially hit a turning point in the story, and I’m so excited to see how it ends. Bonus points: a few of my theories were right. Feeling very smug about that 😄

I’m worried about Rielle. El, however, is thriving—and I love how much she’s getting away with right under the emperor’s nose. There’s literally a hole to the Deep and he still can’t prove she did it 😂. This book just keeps getting better. Simon is definitely up to something, though I can’t tell what yet. We haven’t seen Remy in a while, which has me a bit concerned—but he’s smart, so I’m hoping he’s okay

Well, things are starting to get really interesting, but confusing. How did El go into the DEEP?
Jess and Remy are making an interesting duo. I think that it was Corien's mistake to let jess train him as a spy. I believe that he is way smarter than Jess and will outwit her.
Also WTF is Rielle doing?

I think the prophet is Lu. She’s the only one who would want to keep her survival hidden from the Emperor. She stopped El from ending her life by reaching her through mind-speech.
The Emperor is becoming more unstable, and because of that, he’s going to push El even harder. I honestly don’t know how to feel about Simon. Jess is a terrible assassin.
Navi is building an army, and the Blood Queen has fled from Corien.

A lot is happening, which is honestly surprising. And the emperor is sick??? At this point, they might as well wait him out until he dies. Remy is so screwed. The king didn’t get help, but I don’t blame the people—they don’t trust him. R is clearly getting worn down, and I feel like the pregnancy will push her back to the king. She also misses her home deeply. Corien is losing it. And Simon... he loves Corien.

So much is happening, and I’m not sure whether to be excited or worried. El and her brother are being mentally and physically tortured. Simon is a big question mark—I want to trust him, but I’m not sure I should. Navi’s theories are interesting, Rielle kicked Corien’s ass (and his prisoners escaped—lol), and while I’m worried about Audric and Ludivine, I don’t trust Ludivine anymore.

Corien features the Blood Queen and the Sun Queen in different time periods, of course—but this one has started out far more interesting. However, the angel is controlling them both, which is definitely not good. Still, I can’t help thinking that Simon is playing both sides. Maybe there’s hope yet.

We are starting off in an interesting place. Blood queen I believe is being mind drugged to keep her calm and compiled. This will backfire once she figures it out because the temper on that girl is crazy! Sun queen is losing hope and starting to go a little bit crazy. I hope that she understands her power before it is to late for everyone.
