"'I guess I take after him that way.
I don't want to. I try to be as physically affectionate with Theron as possible. I don't want him to miss that... that fondling.'" (292) you paused to find the right word and still ended up on 'fondling,' huh.

"She had been created to love physically, hard and often." (267) hard facepalm

"'And as much as I'd like to in my mind,' he stroked her cheek with fleeting fingers, 'I couldn't impose any physical demands on a woman.'" (153) he said with his working mouth as he used his working fingers. Sex Ed in the 80s has a lot to answer for for men as well as women

"He was a tall, thin, middle-aged man who radiated a strong moral character and dependability." (123) I don't know how one radiates either of those things, but especially the former

I was worried this was going to be an amnesia book, but somehow it's both more and less dumb

I did start this book thinking Sandra Brown wasn't being as Sandra Browny as usual, and yet, here we are again

(87) yes, what other possible reason could there have been for her being afraid after being forced to fondle him

She purred as his fingers lightly stroked the undercurve." (86) substituting "underboob" in either of these places somewhat alters the mood, and yet, my brain could not refrain from doing so
