The reason the author made the evil ruler so powerful is because without something going against the main character's goals, there wouldn't be much of a good story. He would just get back home. I feel like this is good in this alternate reality because it is the whole story but in reality there would be at least some people fighting against any sort of evil ruler if we were unlucky enough to get that kind of a ruler.

The reason I choose this prompt is because in the beginning, there is an evil ruler and many people work for him. I wonder why people wouldn't try to take him out and try to get a nicer ruler. The reason I think people don't try to take him out is because evil people tend to be really powerful and they don't want to risk being put into a prison cell or even being killed.

I am still really early on it the book but I have another prediction on what is going to happen. Since I know this book has a series, I don't think Jason will return home in this book. He will probably return home on the last book. I feel like Jason will have to fight the evil ruler with some other people that he meets along the journey.
