just finished animal farm & GOD DAMN. i liked how direct orwell’s writing style is. enjoyed the way the novel flowed pace-wise, with an abrupt ending just leaving the reader with their thoughts. gave me a similar feeling as to when i watched ‘idiocracy’ for the first time a few months ago- initially funny to see how naive everyone is, & then the uncanny resemblance to society in the present hits you.
