I like the way he begins the story about his grandmother's dance performance.

When I saw the title, I thought that a lot of these essays would be dog-related. Turns out they're mostly death related. Also, beer, wine, vodka, Bailey's, cognac, ale, Kahlua, gin...

This is billed as Boomer bathroom reading. It's a lot like the best stuff in Reader's Digest without the conservative political bias. Some of it's funny; other parts are thoughtful, or thought-provoking.
