I actually put the book down to read another for a short time. Something is not capturing my attention. It's not bad, just not .....something that I can't explain.

Liking this one much better now. Some small issues with it but enjoying the love story nevertheless.

I'm nervous about this one. I've been searching for a historical romance/historical fiction book to WOW me not just wow me since the Outlander series. So far, nothing has come close. This book has so many 5 star reviews and then I began to notice plenty of my GR friends with 1 or 2 star reviews. How weird and confusing.

What a let down. Especially because this book seems to inspire people to speak in hushed tones while they bow down to the awesomeness of it. ;)

LOL. You're all heart. I almost was convinced to read it earlier, because it was the best book EVA, but I kept hesitating. I am a total hard ass about cheating and loathe it in romantic relationships. I can't seem to work up the energy to pick up a book I know I probably won't like.

But you are right, you shouldn't pick up a book when there are so many out there if you aren't 100% enthusiastic (even for MY benefit..hehe)
That did sound awkward, didn't it? lol. I'm not completely down on cheating when I'm not supposed to be convinced of a romance, but when I'm supposed to believe in the characters' feelings or devotion then all bets are off. In a horror or suspense where the relationship has no bearing, then I could care less.
