I actually put the book down to read another for a short time. Something is not capturing my attention. It's not bad, just not .....something that I can't explain.

I do have a question from before, exactly how did Tatiana, with a crushed leg, and three broken ribs, manage w/ her very small frame to line dead bodies on top of her own at the police station?

Liking this one much better now. Some small issues with it but enjoying the love story nevertheless.

Tatiana is not the most responsible girl out there but of course, it wouldn't be a story if she started off brave, and good, and unselfish.

I'm nervous about this one. I've been searching for a historical romance/historical fiction book to WOW me not just wow me since the Outlander series. So far, nothing has come close. This book has so many 5 star reviews and then I began to notice plenty of my GR friends with 1 or 2 star reviews. How weird and confusing.

Catherine Hopefully the rest of it will work better for you. :\

I stopped. I'm moody right now or something. I'm just going through the motions of reading it. Nothing is grabbing me. This is supposed to be an epic romance and I feel really nothing for the characters. Nothing at all.

Catherine What a let down. Especially because this book seems to inspire people to speak in hushed tones while they bow down to the awesomeness of it. ;)

I would be so curious to see what you thought of this book. You should read it even if it was just to satisfy my curiosity! (aren't I nice offering my curiosity as a motivator for you to read a book- so generous of me) LOL

Catherine LOL. You're all heart. I almost was convinced to read it earlier, because it was the best book EVA, but I kept hesitating. I am a total hard ass about cheating and loathe it in romantic relationships. I can't seem to work up the energy to pick up a book I know I probably won't like.

See I'm not anti-cheating (wait, totally sounded wrong- I meant, cheating in books is not a stopper for me...nevermind, I'm never going to explain this one). But you are right, you shouldn't pick up a book when there are so many out there if you aren't 100% enthusiastic (even for MY benefit..hehe)

Catherine That did sound awkward, didn't it? lol. I'm not completely down on cheating when I'm not supposed to be convinced of a romance, but when I'm supposed to believe in the characters' feelings or devotion then all bets are off. In a horror or suspense where the relationship has no bearing, then I could care less.

Bingo..that's what I meant to say! LOL
