Nora “Seed” was the potential to grow into something

“Ash” was the man who would burn down her perceptions

In the end she was happy

Nora has gotten better at learning about herself playing a game with her daughter to mine for information. She still feels like she is taking someone’s life. Stepping in years too late.


Ultimately she is going to return to her root life and fix some of the things she regrets

Nora explores many of her lives at one point t she references thousands of them but she begins to lose focus in what she wants to achive.
When she returns to the library it’s dark. She feels like she has seen all there is to see and none of them fit. There are infinitely more books to read.
Mrs elm directs her to pick one that she felt a kindness from. Ash who she married and have a kid. Helped her cat

Matt haig must have had to walk a line between Mary sue like traits with Nora having near unlimited potential to explore different options in life. She had potential to be an Olympian, a world renowned musician, a scientist all in one person that’s a lot

She learns that a lot of her dreams and fantasies have come true but as always success comes with it’s own issues. During a podcast she is asked a very pointed question about being someone else and gets to share what she has learned up to this point. The podcasters are impressed and lead into a question about her brothers overdose. She almost slips back into the library immediately but denial keep her there

Hugo and Nora talk for a while before spending the night together and waking up in the library.

Mrs. Elm tells N that she might only have a short time left to explore before the library closes.

She chooses the music life walking up on stage before an encore in Brazil in front of thousands. He brother tells her nice job and they play a Simone and Garfunkel song because Nora doesn’t know the words to her own

Nora is starting to learn the limitations of the library in that she has to pretend and can’t really engage in social aspects because she does not pick up their memories.

She reflects on the feeling of solitude and how when you surrounded by strangers solitude feels bad but true solitude is a blessing

Nora meets another traveler who is exploring their other lives while
Studying glaciers.

If she never gave up swimming NP would be healthy, strong , outwardly confident and in control. She would also still be sad. She still takes anti depressants, has scars on her arm and people refer to a bad incident I. Portugal.

Her dad is alive but cheated on her mom, basically killing her.

She starts to appreciate Ms. elms advice and give it out to the masses on stage

Next book is the one where she moves to Australia with Izzy. They are not living together and instead she sells tickets to the whale watch. Learns she is a stoner and that Izzy died in a car crash

Back in the library she talks about her regrets with her dad and swimming career. As this is further back she has to move far in the library

When NP leaves a world the host remembers everything that happens as if it was them who said it however they don’t remember the motivation.

You ever enter a room and not remeber why? Implies she might not even be NP if she has hosted other Nora’s.

Next book still green is to see Voltaire. She learns he had a heart condition and it was not her fault that he passed. The regret fades from the book
