this is feeling too close to the toxicity that magnolia n bj had, but it’s not hitting the same bc ysolde n joah don’t have the history that the other couple does… nor does joah, specifically, have a backstory, that we know of for now, that explains his behavior.. even if the next book reveals trauma on his part.. (cont.) .. the dynamic in this relationship doesn’t have the same je ne sais quoi that mag n bj have.. even before learning in mp: lwh what they had between them, and stuff separately too, there was no denying the magnetic pull they had to each other.. ys n jo don’t have that, so their toxicity is simply toxic, not toxic for the sake of a love story between 2 broken ppl that belong together (like those in mpu) :/

but there’s nothing wrong with being enamored with a heartthrob musician/band.. take it from me, a still-to-this-day huge 1d fan! that shit never leaves you! those memories will forever be special to me… let’s not make it seem like they’re not supposed to be taken seriously just bc they surround a boyband… my love for those boys is valid!! don’t let anyone tell you and your fangirl self otherwise!!! <3

haven’t enjoyed her non-mpu work enough to give her any chances beyond this… if i don’t like this, i only plan to finish mpu (once she finally gets around to writing the last 2 books ffs), but not reading any others of hers…
she’s also such a strange person n i’m not sure i want to support her anymore (i found a free epub of this one, don’t worry she’s not getting my $)!
