The Weasley family really get dumbed down in the films - I love them sm in this

Sirius is an asshole in this tbh. The way he takes out his anger at being confined on everyone including Harry.
Also the movies did Ron dirty, acting like he only got on quidditch team cause of Harry and ignoring him being a prefect with Hermione

Sirius is so insensitive to the Weasley children when they want to see their dad it’s just so unnecessary- I really didn’t expect to be so put off by him this reread. The way he berated Harry for being cautious and saying “he’s not like his dad after all cause the fear would’ve made it intriguing for James”
I do love Molly more though - she’s the godparent and guardian Harry deserves

I forgot how much of an annoyance Hermoine is a lot of the time - isn’t it kinda anti feminist and anti equality when the only girl you don’t bad mouth or belittle is your crush’s sister? And her trying to trick the elves into freeing themselves is just wrong - she doesn’t get to choose their lives

The films never showed the reckless side of Sirius - the way he treats 15 year old harry like James, his disregard for Molly’s care of Harry and his inability to see the sense behind Dumbledore’s orders. I really love seeing Molly again and the rest of the Weasleys - Hermoine’s defense of Kreacher is stupid and annoying - SPEW is such a useless side plot

This is really putting some competition up to Prisoner Of Azkaban as my favourite so far. Absolutely love the different story lines and the character - development

Ahh I didn't realise I'd read so much off my phone so happy <3

Ahh Molly Weasley is such a petal why didn't they show her more in the movies?! And Sirius, Remus and Tonks?!

I missed this so much
