I can't tell if Jack really knows what's going on. It almost feels like he thinks it's all in his head still.

He knew, firsthand, that the devil was real; he'd seen it with own two eyes. But he'd never seen God. He'd never felt God. He'd never been helped by God. For all he knew, wickedness was strong enough to exist in a world without good.

If you know what's wrong Jack, why aren't you being more proactive about it? Gah!
