So do y’all actually enjoy being reminded that it is the year 2025 and Important Things Are Occurring when you read fiction

Wow sometimes you read a book and you just KNOW the author wants to be in a classics syllabus in 50 years

I know it’s the point but also Cyrus’s family is way more interesting than him

Okay I can see how this might become insufferable over time but right now the tone is delightful
