This is my first classic novel that explores themes of revolution, rebellion, and totalitarianism, and I’m struck by how Orwell masterfully portrays these ideas. His depiction of a world where the Party rules with absolute control, with no real laws and constant surveillance, gives a chilling look at what a totalitarian regime can do to society. Overall, I am loving this book!
