What’s so strange about this book is the central relationship and characters themselves are underdeveloped, but we get so much information about the history and buildings. The author is infodumping lore on abandoned parts of campus, meanwhile I didn’t know Cal was missing an eye. Also, since when are there boys’ field hockey teams?
