I am in a rage over how Conor has believed everything ( I know there’s damning evidence with the amount of witnesses Joss gathered) he was told about Kel and ACTUALLY sent him to the trick. Kel is the only reason Conor is somewhat functional and kind and he’s done EVERYTHING for him - what a betrayal their friendship can never be the same

I feel hurt and betrayed by Anjelica’s betrayal and her true motive for seeking a conversation with the pirate - but I feel she will stay with Conor and be loyal to him
As for Antonetta saying those awful things about Kel to Kel in disguise as Conor - that bitch is so rude and pathetic. I hate how Kel feels for her and protects her when she’s always so selfish

I feel like Anjelica is so so dead - I love her character and to be honest I love her and Kels friendship but I don’t have a good feeling
I’ve really tried to like Antonetta but I just can’t - she’s spoiled and I know why she’s doing what she’s doing - but like she’s using Kel and the way she asked him to be her first did not sit right with me

All this foreshadowing now into what the King will become - and surely it’s like a bird? When we keep getting hints of it

The Kutani princess and Conor make … an interesting couple - which frustrates me because I love Lin and Conor’s dynamic
I am waiting to see more of the ragpicker king considering the book is named after him we’ve seen not much so far

It scares me how I remember so clearly reading the first book and thinking the next one would be so far away and here I am
Shoutout to Cassie Clare for slowly providing a recap of the events of the first one because I can remember very little
First impressions is that maybe I don’t HATE antonetta anymore ?? Maybe it’s cause she’s hanging out with Lin and I love her but yeah she’s definitely better
