Hold up. Is the guy Frank saw Jamie? What book did Jamie go forward in time? I'm missing something.

All I can think when listening to this book for the 2nd time is THANK YOU Diana Gabaldon for letting us into your beautiful imagination.

I can understand why so many give up on this book in the beginning. It is SLOW. But the best is yet to come!!

I can't believe I'm doing this but I really miss Jamie. I love this story and well, I've decided to listen to the audiobook again. I almost never re-read books, there are too many great ones to be uncovered to waste time re-reading. However, this series is something special.

I swear Jamie is going to kill me. What happens to him towards the end, I was boohooing so much, I couldn't even see right!

I'm going to end two very large books at practically the same time. This book will go down as one of my all time favorites and it is not even over yet.

oh my, i don't even know where to begin. Jamie, I love Jamie but since I've already made that crystal clear, let me tell how happy I am that Claire decided to stay. I'm always so on edge w/ this book!

I'm leaving for Scottsdale AZ in the morning. Yes, I have been informed that Ms. Gabaldon lives in Scottsdale but rest assured, that is not my reason for traveling there (unless she happens to have the real life Scot that Jamie was modeled after in her house). I'm not THAT obsessed!................yet! Just kidding!

Today, I tried to come back to reality but w/ no such luck. I want Jamie! He has to be the best male hero out there, hands down! I'm not even through this book and I'd vote for him!

Why don't I remember that from Fiery Cross? I feel like such a bad reader that I don't remember that!!

You'll love it!

After the first 100 pages, once you get into the story, it ends up being such a quick read since you get so into it!!!! I swear! If you stick with it after those dreadful first few pages, you'll love it.

And everyone! You have got to try this book. It's awesome.

There won't be a last book. Even if I have to go to Scottsdale and beg DG to keep writing, I will. I refuse to see this series end.

Why don't I remember that from Fiery Cross? I feel like such a bad reader that I don't remember that!!"
He tells Claire in one of later books that he saw Roger and Brianna sittig at a table in one his dreams. This was after Roger and Bree went back through the stones. He describes a telephone sitting on the table so one of the theories is that he has visions/dreams of their future. I believe he briefly described a dream he had of watching her brush her hair and there was lights around her (electric lighting). Its been awhile since I read them so a few of my details may be off.

I do remember him talking about his dreams. I just didn't remember Jamie actually meeting Frank or even running into Frank like Frank was talking about at the beginning of Outlander.

No, don't wait!! My only complaint about the series is the waiting for the next book.

Yes, but since the night in question the power went out, there was no electric lighting, just candles (The matter has been rehashed many, many times in the DG group). Now, this could be just a misstep on DG's behalf, but it could be a hint it wasn't that event described. Personally, I hope it's a vision, cause otherwise we see Jamie die in the series(a big no-no for me)
Michelle, unfortunately the series will end, in the 1800. A.D(They'll both be 80 or so). Which will be either in the next book or the one after that. Afterwards she plans to write a series about Master Raymound(appeared in DIA) who is a time traveler himself.

He hadn't so far.

I know it will eventually end but I am going to be so sad. I'd do a 60-year old Jamie over 99% of the male characters half his age from other books.

All I remember is Frank saying he saw a man looking up.into her window wearing highland plaid. Lord, now I wanna go back and read Outlander again.:)

You should! It's amazing to read it again after you've read the entire series. I swear I sound like such a stalker fangirl with this series but oh well. I have 4 of my employees currently reading the books in the series. They are each on a different book and they all love it. I know that they aren't just saying it because I'm their boss because I've caught them reading when they are supposed to be working. Like I care! LOL. As long as they get their work done in the end, I don't care how they do it.

Well he did see him. And it is Jamie. Only, a vision, a ghost, or other?
And Jamie is amazing isn't he? He's the only character out of all Romance Heroes, which I could really imagine being with. As in marrying*sigh*. That's not to say I don't find some of the others, *ahem* hot as hell. But Jamie...Wow
DG does an amazing job of writing these characters. They're very realistic. They have both good qualities and bad, they do right and they make mistakes. They are not perfect, but rather perfectly imperfect.
As to the ending, I so don't want to think about it. Especially cause it probably means seeing them die...

St. Claire would be a good 2nd boyfriend when Jamie is busy.

That's the problem. They seem to be part of our (or the author's) vivid imagination. Though, there are some good guys out there... just no Jamie-types.

Yes, there is one book out of all of them that was only a 3 star for me but other than that one, I loved them all.

You will not regret a minute.
I too, was daunted by the size of the tomes, but half way through the first book was thinking that they simply weren't long enough.
I read all seven books like a woman possessed, paused a minute, then picked up the first book to start all over again.
I have read the entire series 4 times now, and listened to countless audio renditions, AND I never re-read books.
Reading this series is seriously addictive.
Best wishes
Janet
