In Ava's foreword to the book, she expresses that she wasn't sure if A Study in Drowning would get a sequel, but decided to do it because of fan clamor. Honestly, when I heard that A Study in Drowning was getting a sequel I wasn't sure how, why, or what it would do. I'm eager to know what happens because the previous book felt pretty complete, it'll be interesting to see if a sequel was the right choice
