The plot is still engaging but I am a little irritated too. Howard keeps remind me what I know. I really remember how old are children or why someone had done something. If it were not the plot, characters and interesting historical facts I would put down the book.

By now, it looks promising. I can feel the time of industrialization in UK in the middle of XIX century, near Halifax (West Yorkshire, North England). When the old and the new world collided with each other. And characters are wisely chosen. It may be a thrilling story, including a romance (or romances?). I will see.
