I enjoyed the analogies made between education and basketball superstars /weakest players in soccer, the tortoise and the hare, and the democracy lottery. These are all interesting concepts to think about.

I always give points to Gladwell for making me think deeply about a subject, but I often disagree with his reasoning and/or conclusions. I, too, hate the Ivy League, but my reasons have more to do with ideology and curriculum rather than funding practices, socioeconomic factors
of students, standardized testing, etc.
