I'm intrigued enough to continue with this book, but I also don't understand how it didn't get flagged by the publisher for plagiarism?? There's obvious strong influence from the HP characters, BUT there's basically the whole Evil Queen with the mirror from Snow White word for word quote with just a couple words changed out. How is that not considered plagiarism??

Omg 🤣💀 This scene is not supposed to be funny, but yet it's tragically, illogically hilarious 😅 I am 100% sure that that isn't even possible

Imani is still an ignorant twit, but the plot is definitely getting more interesting now

Okay, normally I'm not the hugest fan of short stories as they typically leave me unsatisfied and just wanting more which it doesn't deliver. But so far with this book?? I'm riveted ! Bardugo perfectly captures that essence of folktales and fully immerses you in them, and each one is perfectly wrapped up with a satisfying ending ^_^

After hearing the praises sung about this book since before its release, I had high expectations. With an author who's referred to as Lord Grimdark , and as someone who enjoys that genre, I expected to be a newly annointed fan to join the masses singing those same praises 😐 Sadly, that isn't the case so far. I have many, many thoughts though...

This has been really good so far. But a couple things were just revealed that have really changed my mind on some things. Like they just feel so underwhelming for all the drama they've caused in Fi's life 😐 Hopefully the book can woo me back to enjoying it

So far I'm a bit bored, honestly 😐 Effy isn't striking me as the most likeable mc, nor has much, if anything, happened as far as a plot is concerned. I'm hoping things pick up soon 🤞
