Chapter 10 update—I’m finally SUPER into this one now. It was a little slowish 🤔 to start? Kinda rough to get my head around all the names I think. BUT it’s soooo good now! I love Russian stories & winter…& folklore 😍😘🤌🏻🤌🏻

Yup 😂 doing a reread already. I started two towers and decided I wanted to go back & annotate more of the fellowship! 2024–my year of rereads apparently 😎😂

Reading update: hoping to finish this one in the next couple days. WOW. Just wow. I said I want gothic, moody reading vibes and this story is delivering in PERFECTION😳🤌🏻

Once again. I am sitting here reading this & wondering why I’ve boxed myself, for all these years, into this tiny YA, horror, & mystery/thriller genre box when books like this exist….😳 Better late than never, I guess! 😅

This story has potential but I don’t feel pulled in enough to continue this one currently, I’m shelving as a DNF & to return to later for sure! Mood reader struggles 😂

DNF 💔 went into this one for gothic vibes & an interesting mystery and found an annoying typical YA main character instead. It’s the bookish-worst for me 😂 if I’m gonna push through an annoying MC and un-interesting love interest then the vibes better be VIBING! 🤣

Doing a re-read for 2 reasons: 1- I can’t remember what happened in this book enough to start book 2 with confidence 😂😂 2- I don’t think I gave this book a fair rating the first read through so I’m giving it another go! It’s a bit of a slow burn and I want to appreciate it as such. Also 💁🏻‍♀️ I’m a completely diff reader today than I was when I read this before 🤣

Chapter 15 update—this book feels gross, disturbing, & creepy enough that it’s giving me chills…I’m loving it so far 😂👏🏼

This man was described as Scott Eastwood with a beard 🥵…he’s rough & tough on the outside but clearly gentle on the inside…& then there’s all the animals & he has a rescue dog. He planned a super cute country/small town vibe date 😍 Abby Jimenez is speaking my language here 🙏🏻 he is reminding me of my hubby too 🤭🔥🔥

DNF for now at page 116. Not a bad book just completely not in the mood for historical romance!
