So many Cosmere connections, but still pretty great on its own. The few chapters of breathing room have been nice to separate out the insane amount of action already in this one. Brandon writing an action/thriller is strange.

This book is all gas no breaks so far. “Nomad” is amazing and it breaks my heart to see him like this, how did we get here?

Lirin sucks. The last sequence of Part 2 is flawless.

Brandon’s POV break theming is fantastic, Teft has a headache to Venli bashing a dude’s skull in, Kaladin’s putting himself back together to the tower breaking. Almost comical but pretty awesome.

The Cosmere connections… did I just black out and simply not understand or even try to understand what I was reading my first time? This one basically assumes you’ve read the rest of the Cosmere.

So even his novellas have Sanderlanches…
