Thankful I'm reading this for a class! The book discussed providence and it makes sense to me (and I keep getting ideas for worldbuilding for different stories based on different beliefs)! :O

Understandable read so far (yay!) and I do think it is - as it warned - going to unsettle me some as the book brings up cultural assumptions of reading the Bible and I realize I might not know everything. Oi my pride.

Little nervous because the textbook in one of my classes is nearly impossible to understand - but I do hear this book (same class) is a lot better

Discussing how the understanding of the Trinity came to be. This really makes sense to me. Like if this whole book just had these last 10 pages worth of info, I would say it would be a worthy read. (Yet every chapter is epic)!

Learning about the attributes and names of God in this section :)

I love this part:

AMIDST THE DEATH AND DESTRUCTION, THERE WAS BEAUTY TO BE FOUND. PEOPLE SET ASIDE PETTY DIFFERENCES AND CAME TOGETHER. THEY COMFORTED EACH OTHER, SHARED STORIES, TOLD JOKES, FELL IN LOVE. IN A WAY, WE BECAME MORE HUMAN THAN EVER BEFORE.

Intro confused me but the rest so far has been powerful stuff!!

BUT WHY WOULD YOU HUNT THE LOST PRINCESS, SIR
sure it is for your kingdom but have you no shame or brain? Obviously the queen is a horrible witch woman! I need some hesitation earlier and guilt? That maybe it isn't a good or noble idea to hunt someone? Some confusion about WHY the queen wants the princess's heart?
I wish he went to the queen and was cursed/forced into doing this.

well just wait until about half the book and behold you are talking to him right now

ok but the fact that ya'll have to strip to dragon shift makes me wonder why ya'll didn't find a magical way to wear clothes after since this world does have magic and you come from a kingdom of dragon shifters so this isn't a new problem
also why wear under things when you shift if they are just going to rip off (I assume - unless for some reason THOSE don't)
