Orion Lake! What is he thinking!?

It’s really an amazing book. The MC and her not-as-visible counterpart from the last book are great. I’m kind of said that it looks like this is the last book. I’ll just follow the author instead.

Not as good as I remember. Everyone is so perfect. This guy who humiliated me at every turn growing up, and as recently as the last book put him down, is suddenly all oh-so-great. Want to get married? “I checked the lineage and families of all the kingdoms around to make sure I could do this! And this random priest was willing without thought of repercussions. And the Companions want it!” And so forth.

Still as interesting as the first book even with having so few pages read.

Still disliking Jessie. Even 80% I’m tempted to dnf. Also, the stuff at gran’s house is just ridiculous. Act like adults and take a night off from sex.

I really don’t like Jessie. I really don’t. Luke is such a sweet guy who’s being tortured by his stepbrother. And it’s ruining him. While I realize they’ll end up together I can’t help rooting for Luke to find anyone else, someone who can treat him well.
