So far so good. Despite one leftist rant, the author has kept a good "hard sci-fi" approach.

Hard to read at times. Nowadays, better history books track the progress of both individual soldiers and their unit, than a broader, higher level. Not the best in the popular history genre, but a decent one for the military academies and staff colleges.
