Oh, the unfairness of it all!

Time for a change of pace, and I'm in the mood for a classic.

I feel a little bit in the dark sometimes, but it's ok. I'm rolling with it.

Now that the business is established, I'm wondering what's left to tell. The details were surprisingly un-boring for a while, but I'm hoping it moves on to a different subject now.

Struggling... before every chapter is a prologue, and then random, cryptic flashes of other people and places. It's like starting the book over every single time. Just when I start to get involved in the main plot, I'm dragged off to another prologue.

Could become interesting. I mainly dislike everyone so far, but hopefully they will change.

There are some beautiful descriptions of the wildlife and scenery of this alternate world - glowing moths, etc. I'm still not into the actual story much yet, though.

So far, it's been straight into the action without any teenage drama.

I do not remember the Healer's Apprentice being so preachy. I hate books that turn into bad sermons.

Stayed up way too late reading this last night.

I pretty much liked our main character immediately, even though I still don't know his name.

Things only continued to get worse, but I think Eileen is finally learning something. It feels like things are about to change. Still hoping it will all turn around.

Sad setup - hoping the only way is up.

"I stifle my scream my urgency to run the crippling horror gripping my limbs" ~ the strange use of punctuation to show a fractured frame of mind is already irritating me. I'm determined to give it a chance though since I bought it before I swore off YA Paranormals.

I can't see yet how everything will be brought around in 200 more pages.

There's been a lot of setting up and a lot of names to sort out, but I think I'm finally into it now.

This might take me all year! I'm reading it on my phone sometimes only a paragraph at a time.

Upset that I had to quit reading last night, and woke up thinking about it this morning. Hurry up work.

I'm finally getting used to the non-linear timeline, and although nothing has really happened yet I feel as if I'm being watched.

I really thought Errol had learned enough not to be that stupid. Guess not.

All action from the first page. The magic system is also evolving.

If only I knew my history of this time period better, the agony of suspense would be much less. I really hope history managed a good ending.

So far, walking and talking and then sitting on a space ship and - more talking! Let's see some action here.

It's taking me a while to get into this one but I think it's about to get more interesting.

Again, I had to force myself to put this down so I wouldn't be completely dead at work today. I'm only half dead now.

Had to glue my eyes open last night - couldn't put this down.
