Still feeling kind of humdrum about this.

Tad Williams is a master at inventing new voices for different genres. I don't even recognize this as written by him. So jury's still out on whether I will like this or not. It's very different from his other work.

For a swashbuckling adventure, this is boring so far. Not much swashbuckling or adventuring going on.

I'm getting to the point where reading this on my phone is not enough. I'm going to have to switch it to my regular read and blast through the rest.

I'm really liking this one. Not that the first book wasn't good, but this is better.

Just have to say that William is much more in my line of heroes than Declan was. More than half wild, erratic, dark and dangerous but with a protective side, and a good dose of tortured past. Yeah.

Ok, now that the history of all technology, sci fi, fantasy, and movies has given way to actually playing the game - this is really cool.

I'm not sure my geek status is high enough for this book. I know I'm missing tons of references! But I do know some, and it's not really hurting me not to know all of it, I don't think. Just the more 80's gaming you know, the more you're going to love this book.

This is turning out to be a decent time travel novel. And it's not YA - it's NA. Bonus.

Well I guess the MC isn't actually the MC then. Guess I'm going to meet him next.

This is sad, but for some reason I don't mind. This is one of the few authors who can make me feel sad without feeling manipulated into it. Plus, the writing is just beautiful. Worth it.

I can't wait until Fainne gets some guts. For now, she's a villain because she's weak and gullible. It's hard to sympathize with her.

I liked Fianne a lot more before she was around other people.

Already thinking I need to slow down enjoy this one.

This is kind of cheesy, but also has some cool Gothic creepiness.

My main challenge of 2014 was to work through my owned TBR shelf. All those ebook deals I got sucked into buying in the last few years, either to be read or deleted. It's been a year of some real duds and a few gems, with 8 DNFs and 84 read. Woohoo! Only 100 to go! I'm hoping that 2015 will be more enjoyable since I think I've cleared off the worst by now.

Yet another dud, I think. This is really boring.
