I felt a little bogged down in Liveship trilogy even though I liked a lot of its ideas. It was just longer than I wanted it to be. So, went into this a bit hesitant but loving it so far, burning through it

We're in full on disappointment zone. Everyone says the final book in the trilogy is the weakest, true. It's now getting trippy and weird and expanding very fast but much of what preceded this has worn my patience. I'm going to finish the entire series but the breathless binge reading has turned a bit sour 🫤

People say this is the weakest of the trilogy and I see why. It's kind of a tour of the Six Duchies in a way, and it seems wrong to fill in all these details of lore in the last book. Also Fitz keeps failing at every stage resulting in lots of torment and physical damage and long healing. It drags. But it's still a story I want to hear. I've read that a lot of people think the end is unsatisfactory so we'll see.
