Pretty sly coming after accomplishing something immensely beautiful through guile and improvisation for which the book will now hinge on.

Really glad to be back in Kay's universe. Been working through it a bit oddly - Last Light of the Sun > Brightness > Children of Earth & Sky > now the Sarantine Mosaic. Still holding off on Tigana which is supposed to be his very best.

Less pow! to the start of this one, but good nonetheless. People say it's a Sherlock kind of thing and all the pieces are getting laid out.

Doing a buddy read with this one. We're checking back in after Part I. Harrowing stuff and beautiful descriptions of a nearly alien landscape. I would prefer the author kept his orca insults off the page, J/K.
