FUCK this book is seeing right through me

I'm enjoying the writing style but I can't stand all but one character. The opposite of what usually happens 😂

Damn this continues to be such a good book.

Now what has got me really curious is whether the author considers his main character sympathetic. He doesn't read like he is but to a certain segment of the population he might be. I'm reading this as a very entertaining character study of a shitty person but I worry that's not how it was intended.

So far it's kind of anti-found-family which is an interesting take I haven't seen before

This book is great until the second the author starts talking about non-white people.

Starting off good. More of a military than a social history so far but some good information.

It has its highs and lows but overall still valuable

A good cleaning backtrack. Engaging but not so much that you can't multitask.

I am struggling with this so far. I don't particularly care for Persephone's POV. Hopefully we'll get more of Raithe/Malcolm again soon.

Idk why the rating on this is so low. It's a gorgeous collection of borderline speculative fiction/literary character studies.

Damn this has got some REAL moments.
