Starting to tire of the characters and not care what happens to them. I would like to see the Mom get clean but my interest is waning. I am going to keep reading for now.

Just started. I loved The Violets of March so I am looking forward to this one.

I am slogging through this book. I find the dialogue off putting, and fragmented. I have read other books and totally gotten into the different different vernaculars of speech such as Uncle Tom's Cabin and other's but this character is so repetive that I find myself not caring about what happens to her. I do want to find out if she finds her mother so I will probably keep reading since I am almost done.

Had to turn this book back in to the library without finishing it but I do think I may buy it. Certain passages are still coming back to me.

Next two on my list.....Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman, and Sweet Mercy by a favorit of mine, Ann Tatlock

Love the story.....can't wait to see what happens!

It's slow going. I have had to make myself pick it up because I keep thinking I will get caught up in the story and characters. I love the idea of the book, (city girl goes to the farm for a new life after her husband dies) but so far it's been too predictable. But we will see, I am only just starting.

Just finished it, and I loved it. Highly recomment it...
