Part 2
This reminded me how human’s greed is never to an end, even the richest and the finest country like Antarctica seeks for more wealth and power. Greed will always exist, no matter what it is for, it will always have an eye out for others’ things.

Part 1

Antarctica, in this book, is like the current America. They are strong both politically and military wise, and when the Republic, a country that is hardly close to perfect, comes, they treat them as if they are from the scums. However, only one person, the president of Antarctica shows interest in them. He requires for land in exchange of military forces.

Part 2
The next time June and Commander Jameson meets; she repeats the same statement and also mentions karma. I think we can estimate and guess the next part of the story by her words, author’s intentions of tensing the mood of the story using the characters. Does this mean that perhaps commander Jameson knew such incident would happen? Was that the reason why commander De Soto rebelled against the Republic?

Part 1

Commander Jameson, the person who killed June’s brother, is looking down on the elector and the current Republic. She smirked at the elector after her death sentencing, and refuses to be in a state of shame. This gives June a chill, and makes her wince. Was that statement a foreshadow to a greater danger? Because not long after, the colonies declare a war against the republic.

Part 2
Can this foreshadow or represent that June’s emotions for Aden is growing bigger than her emotions for Day? Or can this represent June’s faith for Day? I think it can also well express her personality by showing an evidence of hard-headedness by showing her reluctant decisions for a greater deed.

Part 1
June is trying to save the country from war by curing the plague that is spreading virally around the warfront. However, this takes sacrifice. Curing the plague means that she would need Eden, Day’s brother, what means more that the world to her dear love. She invites Day even if she realizes that he would disagree in a high percentage, when Aden asked her to invite day to the Independence Day feast.

I can connect such idea to they current internet and social media society who would uses the name of a certain individual in the center of attention to earn profits. People would spread rumors and fake news for what they need, even if it takes to knock down the person's reputation that they have been building.

June, and day, the most wanted criminals in th ecountry is in need of patriot's help, and so are the patriots. They wanted attention, they wanted to assassinate the current elector. With the title spread with June's and Day's name, the people's reaction would affect the country.

Part 4
Even if I try to remind myself of what she had said to me, or what scars she had left on my emotions, I can’t help but to love the person. Life doesn’t always turnout the way it’s always supposed to, and I think that's okay sometimes.

Part 3
When she realizes the boy is the same person that was savagely exploring the crime scenes, she has to force herself to lure him into the trap. She weirdly feels the emotion of hope, and this reminds me of a time that happens all the time with my friends. When we have a big fight and avoid each other, I find myself talking to them in the hallway just after my emotions settle down.

The boy didn’t kill the brother, or at least he doesn’t realize he did. The girl boiling in fury, tries to capture the boy by disguising herself into the slums. She develops sympathy, care, and other emotions that she is not supposed to develop for her brother’s murderer, when the boy helps her throughout the journey in the slums.

The book 'Legend' is the kind of book you will long for when you are lacking humanism and love. Well, to be honest, this book is actually about a girl who despises a peasant boy for killing her brother. However, this book leeks lenient emotions of the two teenagers, still not sure if the way they’re walking is the right way.

All 3 of them were making unnecessary jokes to ‘escape’ from what the situation is now in real life, because they wanted to feel as if the whole thing was ‘normal’.

The sun was setting, and we were trapped in the never-ending loop of road. My mom and my younger self were very scared, but my dad tried to stay positive, and cracked puns from time to time. I can also connect this to the book, ‘ALWTW’ when the main character Salva’s uncle made jokes and tried to make each other stay positive in a war.

However, no father could remain in a good state after her daughter’s death. Imagine the death. Imagine the loss. Imagine the unexpected goodbyes that will tear the family in pieces. Torrey caught her dad crying with Miranda’s belongings in his hand. I can connect this situation to my dad when we were lost in ‘Jiu zai gou’ (not sure if the name is correct), a beautiful yet dangerous place in China.

In this book, can’t look away, Torrey’s dad stays strong, gathering up the shattered pieces of the last bit of his sanity, to keep the family in shape. After Miranda’s death, Torrey’s mom was suffering from depression, and Torrey was too. It just didn’t show. His dad tries to remain positive as the story evaluated by making unnecessary jokes in times.

I can connect this with the actual internet community today. Some of the people communicating using social media, takes advantage of the mask of anonymity and tries to judge people without understanding, or not even trying to understand the actual story. The book shows the result, the truth of a person after receiving the brutal comments.

Part 2

However, that attention and love was no longer Torrey’s, it was her sister miranda’s. After Torrey’s post of Miranda’s death in the shopping mall, turning back towards her was easy. She was having a sister fight with Miranda as usual, and that was when the driver had hit Miranda with the car. The sudden death of her sister confused Torrey, but made it twice the harder with the unusual hate comments.

In this book, can’t look away, the main character Torrey Gray is going through intolerable hate from the internet community. Social media is something cannot live without. Especially Torrey. She works as her other name, Beautystarz on youtube to spread her knowledge about fashion and Beauty. Thousands and thousands of subscribers used to look up to her, admire her, and loved her.

I know a lot of the people out in the world have experienced the pain too, because we can’t be perfect at all times. That is why I think Torrey Gray in this book is a good representation/connection to express how people would react to the regretful past.

Torrey also thinks how bad she feels for her sister Miranda when she made such decisions. People usually don’t bring back happy memories of the past; they tend to bring back the old and dusty ones that kept bugging them. Regretting something is the worst thing that you can possibly do, since you can’t make an effort to change the past.

Can't look away, a book that I can connect to every single individual in this world, made me illustrate the emotion of 'regret'. Everyone must’ve experienced some form of loss, and realize the value of it is to ‘me’ much later. The author doesn’t show us that Torrey’s regrets; however, I can connect her repetitive thinking about things that she has done to her sister Miranda, to the emotion regret.

Salva, a boy who is experiencing the pain of war in a young age, is now by himself. He is left alone without his family trembling in horror, loneliness and much more that he can't bare. I can connect this to myself when I was younger. My mom and dad went out for jogging and I was left alone in my house doing my homework. The nervous yet horrifying emotions are still alive in my heart up until this day.

The world of Silvers, the world of utter disgust and disgrace to the reds, Mare is now experiencing a whole new world of the silvers in 4D.The Silvers forces Mare to marry the prince, change her name, and change what makes Mare, 'Mare'. I can connect this to the world, how people nowadays are trying to place themselves into a 'shape' from the comments on social medias, relationships, and anything anybody would like.

Mare, after finding a solution, tries to steal the wealth of the silvers. She receives help from her sister Gisa, and later gets her disabled with her hand that is shot by the silver. Mare faults herself for getting her sister in danger AND not being able to obtain the money for Kilorn. I can connect this situation to the world, because world doesn't always give you what you need, and is always nice to you.

Kilorn, an inseparable friend of mare, is summoned from the silver government to serve the army. She is first shocked, but soon looks for a plan to keep Kilorn from leaving her side. I can connect Mare's actions to anybody who is living in this world. People always face this time some time in their life, when they look for a hole to escape, when they know there aren't such thing.
