Absolutely loving this book so far- how it zones in on individual experiences sharing a common narrative but each so unique. It’s everything that the RUC booked lacked, the personal experience but backed up by context and facts.

Absolutely no context given for any of the stories in this book- I don’t really understand what the point of the book is aside from giving RUC members a platform to show off? I understand the attempts to humanise those involved, especially the locals on the ground, but there is really not enough attention paid to the harm the RUC did. Stories backed up by any academic/factual sources and are frankly quite harmful
