The book listing on Goodreads lists this book at 852, but my Kindle version clocks in at over 1,000.

Tallied up a few comic book reads and read several comic books today, so now I've met my original reading goal of 1,000 books, comics, and graphic novels. Next year's goal? 1,500.

This is an incredible book. I'm at The Case of Charles Dexter Ward, which is very long. I'm reading all of the annotations, which is taking a while, but it's worth it. I wish the letters were available digitally, as reading the annotations is easy with an ebook.

I seem to remember every section of this book, and it is only now seeming like a chore to read again. I still enjoy it, though, and I find rereading books very rewarding.

As with most Yuuzan Vong books, this one is only vaguely interesting. Only Vector Prime has seemed to capture the Star Wars magic that other EU books have.

In the rough part of his life right now. He got beat up in prison in the last chapter.

I might have too many books going, but I have had this book for a while and not read it. Lovecraft's letters are generally very interesting; Lovecraft may have written more than 100,000 letters in his lifetime.

The first chapter of this book seems promising, and I'm looking forward to reading more.

Reading a lot of comics, but not reviewing them all.

I've read the main text; now I'm reading the critical analysis. Some of it is pretty dry, so I'm struggling through it.

I'm liking it more this read. Just appreciating the prose. Humbert Humbert is a very unreliable narrator and seems to fantasize segments of his story. Lolita seems to be America to Humbert's Europe? Exploring that metaphor.

In Paradiso, Canto 16, I think? Dante talking to one of his grandfathers. Inferno is definitely better, but I'd like to say I've read the whole thing, so moving along.

Making progress with this. Reading all the footnotes makes for slow going. I plan to read all of the critical essays, too. Goodreads lists the page count as the actual text itself, so difficult to track my progress.

Reading Captain Britain, Spider-Man, and Batman comic books. Would like to read Marvel Star Wars and Transformers UK, too.
