With respect to the writers/illustrators, the Hulk comic book in the #190s is not great. lol Maybe I'm sick of the savage, no-pronoun-using, referring-to-himself-in-the-third-person Hulk, but I feel like I've seen it done better; however, a somewhat astute Hulk seems to make for better story-telling, an idea later writers would pick up on.

So, I'm not even done yet, but go look at my mostly-done new shelf comic-books. Graphic novels and comics will go there moving forward and read list will be book books. Currently-reading and want-to-read will still have comics, but be filed appropriately after they are read.

I hadn't read from my currently reading in a while, so I wanted to remove most of them. I will finish them eventually; for books I had already read before, I couldn't figure out how to remove them from currently reading without marking them read and then editing dates read?

Read several comic books that I didn't catalogue. Not sure most of them were on Goodreads.

I've read some questionable content this year, which made me think of Lolita and its unreliable narrator again. I'm not sure I'll ever understand that book; I have a love/hate relationship with it. My other questionable content was a Neil Gaiman book and the graphic novel, Preacher. The volume of Preacher I am reading has the questionable character of Jesus De Sade, a sexually depraved individual if anyone is.

Think I'll start simple this year and set a modest goal compared to previous years. I can always raise it.

I might cap my book goal; I've read more comics/books in a year than I ever have and I've raised my goal a few times even; I feel like having a big goal is necessary as I mostly read comics, but having it *too* big just encourages me to read comics to "make it."

There is a certain joy to be had from "bad" comics; often times a two-star rating could be a merely subjective judgement of the quality of a work of fiction: I may have enjoyed my experience with even a one-star rated comic book. Many of these shorter works can be consumed in a short amount of time, thus the time investment does not feel as wasted, as with a longer work.
