This book is a real dud so far. I love a female led mystery but other than a cool first chapter, we’ve accomplished nothing but poor narration in these first 50 pages. I’m going to keep going because I love Reese Witherspoon, but this is woof. Sloppy writing, a narrator that seems to be talking directly to the reader and zero character development. I may not finish this actually.
