I'm really loving this book. The voice is fantastic and the story is enticing.

Sal always talks about how people in his life show love for him. "That's how she loved people--by feeding them." I need to start appreciating the little ways in which people love me, and how I love them.

Dude, you do not want to fall in love with a guy named Angel. He may cover you but, spoiler alert, probably gonna die. #rent

A test for scientifically causal relationships: "can scientists randomly select test subjects for each variable?" If they can't (morally, ethically, or literally), it's probably not a tested causal relationship.

Law and order: Teens. That's who this book is made for. What an unusual but underserved audience: teen crime serial fans.

Literally the first time since "cell phones and driving" have become a topic that someone has addressed something I've always said: "what's different about that and conversation with car mates?" Finally!!!!!

I do like that her teacher says her writing is uncreative and pedestrian, and we're reading her novel that is just her life as directed by other people. It is uncreative and pedestrian. Which in turn makes it incredibly creative in terms of the actual author.

As a high achieving student, the fact that Reshma connives and blackmails for grades rather than earning them is grating and aggravating. She's a B student--she doesn't deserve Stanford.

Our main character is freakin insane, and that's kinda fresh and new in YA lit.

This book is way too on-the-nose.

This would be 10x more believable if she didn't have, like, every single mental illness. I have OCD...it's not like a Time Warner bundle that comes along with 8 free mental illnesses.

I can't take a book seriously that asks the question "what's your favorite Transformers movie?" and the answer isn't "none of them." Or implies Jar Jar Binks is worthwhile in any way.

You know a book is good when it's 1 a.m. and you're debating whether it's a good idea to pull an all-nighter in your thirties. Sleep won out, but I woke up like it was Christmas. More Gemina!

Ok. So I've established that a) this book is crazy non-linear, b) this chick is off her nut, and c) I'm not actually sure I like this book, but everyone says it gets better.

This book has more typos than an ARC! Numbers out of order, misspelled words, "humans being" as a chapter title. Humans being what?
