I have wanted to read this since I saw the film of same name. However, I have struggled with the format of letters written to and from characters. Just reached Part 2 ever hopeful of straightforward narrative - but looks like not to be!

Started this on Kindle on November 30th 2019 because it is a classic and I have never read it. I very much like the audio version of Jeff Wayne's The War of The Worlds and I enjoyed the show. I also saw a recent TV production on which I was not keen. I like the Victorian language and setting of the book which was in Wells' lifetime.
