This book is a good example (not the only example) of why I don't like the CW/TW of non consent. Usually when I see it, it is in dark romance and it's within the main characters relationship but a lot of the time is sexual assault or violence and not sometimes related to dubious consent or CNC. I just don't think it's a very good warning label. In this book, it was sexual assault & violence.

I'm struggling with this one. It's only 190 pages - while reading it I have completed 3 books that were longer and 5 or 6 novellas.

I feel like I missed something between the prologue and chapter one. I can't tell if the prologue happened first. Normally I'd just flip back to the start of chapter 1 but this is an audiobook and I don't listen to those often and don't wanna mess up my place in it

I am enjoying this so far - it's easy to read and the writing is good but I do think it suffers from BookTok/social media overhype and possibly a little misrepresentation cause at least at this point - what's so dark? (Besides them being serial killers) And it's yet to be spicy so 🤷‍♀️
