I have no interest in seeing the film adaptation, I've decided. I may read a lot of intellectually heavy material, but very rarely do I read emotionally-heavy material. Right now, the book feels both full and devoid of hope at the same time. As a hobbyist writer, I keep asking myself how anyone can tap into emotion like this.
