What I find interesting about I'll Give You The Sun is how the book tells a story without actually telling it sometimes. You don't know how her mother died but you also know exactly how it happened. It's interesting to see this and how you can connect the dots throughout the book

"I take out the lemon. 'What? Embarrassing?' I remember saying this to him once-how embarrassing he was-and cringe at the former me. It is impossible our personalities have swapped bodies?" (Nelson 146)
It's interesting to see how Noah and Jude have changed over only have half the book. They're basically two different people and it's weird to see them change into their opposites

"He stands up, rests the candlestick on the table, then smiles the most crooked smile I've ever seen, like Picasso made it" (Nelson 41)
I love this line and all the figurative language in the book because you can vividly see what's happening and it's funny that they use a famous artist in a book where art plays a big role in the book

"The it"s as if David's jumped off the wall and swooped me into his massive stone arms and it's whispering into my ear." (Nelson 35)
I like how the author goes really in depth with the characters thoughts. I haven't read many books where you know the characters every thought and it's weird to read but enjoyable
