A soap opera this is! (A well-written one.)

Just like the duration in which I've read it, Bathsheba and Gabriel's romance exemplifies the adage 'Patience is key.'

A cultural study intertwined with man's unlikely advancements -- tractors -- makes a good Slavic-flavoured riot.

Crime always has many facets to it, and it's deftly expounded in this novel. At times bordering on morality and religion, these elements nonetheless hold the key to redemption, as far as Raskolnikov is concerned. Superb Russian classic.

Brit, Paki, or Jamaican, when it comes to dilemmas, we all have that one past we have to extract from our white teeth.

Finished this gem at last! I do like how "banal" the novel is, in comparison to Austen's other work, making the series of twists a great shock after.

A haunting disintegration of the most pitiable that's Jane Eyre's 'madwoman in the attic'. :/

Beats "Hollow Man" to the ground, just like how the invisible man almost got Kemp.

This optimistic off-shoot of 'Catcher' is a winner from the start: no pretensions, just a blatant, factual and raw simulation of what growing is really about. Bravo, Chbosky!

I've never encounter a novel that meshes romance, politics, philosophy and social class fluidly as 'Anna Karenina'. Deserves a re-read! :)
