Excellent book so far. It's more a narrative of WW2 ETO through the eyes of the 29th Inf Div.

Utterly disgusted... who the hell is the 10th PARA? There were only 4 Brigades in the British 1st Airborne Division and they were sequentially numbered 1 thru 4. The Polish 1st Airborne Brigade landed on the south side of the Lower Rhine, not the north! ugh... how does this pass for history?

The writing has improved starting with chapter 14 as the British attack on the city of Arnhem begins and the Germans try to cut off Hells Highway in the south. Oh for a few maps printed within this book! It's difficult using external maps as the names this author uses don't necessarily match the names utilized in English.

So far disappointed in this book. Several glaring errors and a very poor editing job. Continues to reference German General Staff without saying what the staff did to save the situation. Countered the claim that Model raced from Oosterbeek because he thought the Germans were after him.
