The challenges Goggins issues to the reader are on point.
I didn’t expect all the f-bombs he uses. So I’ll probably pick a different book to help my son learn some mental toughness.

Incredible detail as the main character describes period culture. But, this seems to very strange paired with parts of the story. Also makes it a slow plot and laborious read.

Interesting, starts slow and boring. … but wait there’s more.

This book is encouraging. Carrol’s explanations of the reasons this works, logistically, emotionally, scientifically.

Challenging and hard to work through. It’s an easy read until one faces the chore of fleshing our these ideas.

Reading the chapter on electric; next plumbing, then I'll probably give it back to my father-in-law until I need my own constant reference.
