I have to say I wasn't expecting 15th century English literature to have quite so many scenes where two guys kiss

parts 2 and 3 gave me many more questions and very few answers i am. so lost. but compelled

couldn't find an audiobook of the translation of this we're reading for class so i have resorted to reading it out loud to myself because otherwise i just stare blankly at the page and don't process any of the words i read. it is at least sort of working

This story was very weird and I'm not totally sure how I feel about it, but I definitely enjoyed it, and I liked the way it played with the concept of art and artists

Eight Bites

Oh this story was incredible. I loved how it took a fairly typical horror trope (something weird and unnatural inside your house) and made that not the real horror of the story at all, instead focusing on very human horrors

ohhhhhh I really liked this one

Especially Heinous

I didn't really expect to like this story because I know nothing about Law and Order, but it's actually probably my favourite in the book so far! It was weird as shit in a super haunting way, and just so strangely compelling—I really enjoyed it

Not totally sure I followed this one, but that's probably in part bc i was listening to it on audio. That said, I liked what I got from it?

The Husband Stitch

This story was neat! I liked the way it played with the fourth wall, and the integration of various stories into it. Also found it very interesting that none of the characters ever got names—it really added to the atmosphere

I'm only vaguely familiar with the story this one was based on, but I'd like to maybe find the original before I fully have coherent thoughts about this version?

idk if it's because i'm listening to the audiobook this time, or because this is my first time reading this since furysong, or because i remember the plot well enough to start to really appreciate the details this time around, or what, but i'm just sorta. going completely insane over this. like unmatched levels of brainrot goddamn

screaming crying throwing up etc. this book is probably my favourite in the series because it's just so fucking good holy shit
